How to Reverse Rotation Direction
Sometimes a machine spins the wrong way and you need to flip it without rebuilding the whole line. Create gives you several blocks for this.
The Quick Fix: Cogwheels
Two Cogwheels meshed together reverse direction. Place a Cogwheel on your shaft, mesh a second Cogwheel against it, and the second shaft turns the opposite way from the first. This is the cheapest way to reverse rotation and works anywhere you have room for two gears side by side.
Clutch and Gearshift
A Clutch lets you cut power to a shaft on demand — engage or disengage rotation with a redstone signal. An Adjustable Chain Gearshift changes the ratio and direction of a chain-driven shaft, so you can flip direction and tune speed in one block. Use these when you want redstone control rather than a permanent flip.
Practical Setup
If a machine needs to spin the other way, insert a single Cogwheel pair between the power source and the machine. If you also want to stop it, add a Clutch on the input shaft and wire it to a lever or Analog Lever. For chain runs, swap in an Adjustable Chain Gearshift so you can reverse and adjust speed together.
