How to Make Andesite Alloy and Brass

Andesite Alloy First

Andesite Alloy is the base material for most Create machines. You need Andesite, Iron Nuggets, and a way to mix them. Use a Basin with a Mechanical Mixer above it, or craft the alloy directly if you have the ingredients on hand. Once you have Andesite Alloy, craft it into a Block of Andesite Alloy for storage or use it in further recipes.

Turning Alloy into Brass

Brass is the upgrade material for funnels, tunnels, and precision parts. Combine Andesite Alloy with Copper and Zinc in a Basin under a Mechanical Mixer. Zinc comes from Zinc Ore, which you smelt into Zinc Ingots and can store as a Block of Zinc or Block of Raw Zinc. Copper comes from Copper Nuggets or standard copper ingots.

Once mixed, you get Brass Ingots. Craft them into a Block of Brass for compact storage, or break them down into Brass Nuggets when a recipe calls for small amounts.

What to Build With Each

Use Andesite Alloy for Cogwheels, Andesite Funnels, Andesite Tunnels, and Andesite Scaffolding. Use Brass for Brass Funnels, Brass Tunnels, Brass Hand, Brass Bars, Brass Ladders, and Brass Scaffolding. Brass Funnels and Brass Tunnels are the smarter choice for filtering items, while Andesite versions are cheaper for bulk transport. Keep a stack of each ingot in your workshop so you never have to stop mid-build.
