How to Get Started with Create: Your First Andesite Alloy and Cogwheel

Gather the Base Materials

Mine andesite, zinc ore, and copper ore. Smelt the zinc and copper into ingots. You also need logs for planks and sticks. Your first goal is Andesite Alloy, the backbone of nearly every Create machine.

Craft Andesite Alloy and a Cogwheel

Combine andesite with zinc and copper nuggets in a crafting grid to produce Andesite Alloy. From there, craft a Cogwheel using Andesite Alloy and sticks. Place two Cogwheels next to each other and they mesh, transferring rotation.

Power It

Build a hand crank or windmill from Andesite Alloy and planks to generate rotation. Connect it to your Cogwheel setup. Use an Andesite Funnel to move items into a Basin, and a Chute to drop items onto a Crushing Wheel pair for your first automated processing line. From this point, expand into a Chain Conveyor to move items between machines, and a Brass Funnel once you produce Brass Ingot.
