How to Build a Train in Create

Lay the Track

Trains run on rails you place yourself. Build a straight or curved line of track between two stations. Use a Controller Rail at points where you want to control speed or stopping behavior.

Assemble the Train

Place a Cart Assembler on the track. Build your train body from blocks on top of it, then use the assembler to convert the structure into a moving contraption. Add a seat such as a Black Seat, Blue Seat, Brown Seat, or other colored Seat so you can ride. A Clipboard helps you plan the layout before assembly.

Control and Extend

Use Contraption Controls to start, stop, and reverse the train. A Clockwork Bearing can rotate parts of the train for turntable-style movement. For cargo, attach Andesite Funnel or Brass Funnel to load and unload items at stations, and use a Chute to drop cargo into a Basin or chest. Keep spare track and a Cart Assembler nearby so you can extend the line as your network grows.
