Building Your Storage Core

Start by placing an ME Drive in your storage room. You'll immediately see brass-trimmed frames and rotating cogwheel details instead of the default digital look. Next to it, place an ME Interface block—this will show the same mechanical styling and serves as your input/output point for items.

Connecting Buses and Cables

Attach Import Buses to your input chests and Export Buses to your output chests. Watch as these network parts transform into mechanical frames with copper fittings. Connect them using Covered Dense Cables, which now display as industrial brass conduits perfect for hiding cable clutter.

Power your system with ME Power and test by inserting items into your input chest. Items should flow through the Import Bus into your ME Drive, then out through the Export Bus to your output chest. The entire setup now has a cohesive steampunk factory appearance while functioning identically to standard Applied Energistics.

Final Touches

Add Storage Buses to specialized chests for category-specific storage. Each bus displays custom mechanical details that match your Create-themed factory aesthetic.
