Set Up Stone Generators Without Obsidian Production

Install the Data Pack

Place the data pack file into your world's datapacks folder, then reload your world or use /reload in chat. The data pack will disable the obsidian generator recipe while keeping all other stone generation blocks functional.

Verify the Change

Attempt to craft an obsidian generator block using the normal Create mod recipe. The crafting table should reject it—this confirms the data pack is active. All other stone generators (andesite, diorite, granite, and regular stone generators) will work as expected.

Why This Matters

If your world already has an alternative obsidian farming method—like a nether portal farm, end island mining, or a custom contraption—this data pack prevents players from bypassing those systems. It maintains progression balance by removing an unintended shortcut while preserving the mod's core stone-making functionality.
