Converting Blocks with Stonecutting, Smelting, and Blasting

Stonecutting for Bricks and Slabs

Stonecutting is the most common recipe type in Create Deco. Use a stonecutter to convert full brick blocks into their slab, stair, and wall forms. For example, place Blue Bricks in a stonecutter to produce Blue Brick Slab, Blue Brick Stairs, and Blue Brick Wall. The same applies to Corner Bricks, Cracked Bricks, and every color family: Dean, Dusk, Pearl, Red, Scarlet, Umber, and Verdant. This lets you get the exact shape you need without a crafting table.

Smelting and Blasting for Cracked Bricks

Smelting and blasting recipes convert normal bricks into cracked bricks. Put Blue Bricks in a furnace or blast furnace to get Cracked Blue Bricks. Do the same for Dean, Dusk, Pearl, Red, Scarlet, and Umber bricks to get their Cracked variants. Blasting is faster than smelting, so use a blast furnace when you need large quantities of cracked bricks for a weathered wall.

Crafting Shaped and Shapeless Recipes

Use crafting_shaped recipes for items that need a specific arrangement, such as doors, trapdoors, and cage lamps. Use crafting_shapeless recipes for simple combinations, such as turning multiple Brass Coin into Brass Coin Stack or Copper Coin into Copper Coin Stack. When a recipe does not appear in the crafting table, try the stonecutter first — most brick, slab, stair, and wall variants are stonecutting recipes.
