Create Crafts and Additions Connector Modes Explained

What the connector does

Connectors join the mod's electric cables to machines and to each other. A connector has modes, and the mode decides whether that face accepts electric energy, sends it out, or does both. If a machine will not run, the connector mode is the first thing to check, because a connector set to the wrong mode will not move power even when the cable is attached correctly.

Changing the mode

Place the connector, then interact with it to cycle through its modes. Watch the connector's appearance or its interface as you cycle, because the mode changes what that face does. Set the face that touches the generator or the cable coming from the generator to accept or transfer energy, and set the face that touches the machine to feed the machine. If a connector sits between two cable runs, make sure both sides are set so energy can pass through rather than stopping at the connector.

Fixing a dead cable run

Work along the run from the generator outward. At each connector, confirm the mode matches the direction you want energy to travel. A single connector set the wrong way breaks the whole run past it, so test with one machine before adding more. Once the first machine runs, leave that connector alone and set the next one the same way.
