Crafting Gingerbread Blocks, Bricks, Slabs and Stairs

Start with Gingerbread

Gingerbread is the edible base item, and §eGingerbread Block is its placeable building form. Craft Gingerbread first, then use it to produce the block. From there you can expand into the full gingerbread building set: §eGingerbread Bricks, §eGingerbread Slab, §eGingerbread Stairs, §eGingerbread Brick Slab, and §eGingerbread Brick Stairs.

Convert Blocks at the Stonecutter

Take §eGingerbread Block and §eGingerbread Bricks to a stonecutter to produce the slab and stair shapes. Stonecutting handles the slab and stair conversions for these sets, so you do not need to lay out a full crafting grid for every piece. Cut slabs for floors and low walls, and stairs for roofs, eaves, and stepped paths.

Build a Gingerbread Structure

Use §eGingerbread Block as the plain wall and floor material, then switch to §eGingerbread Bricks for detail work like chimneys, pillars, and trim. Slabs let you create half-height roof edges, and stairs give you sloped rooflines. Because Gingerbread is also a food item, keep a separate chest for building stock so you do not accidentally eat your construction material. Pair gingerbread with Candy Cane Block and chocolate bricks for a coordinated candy-themed base.
