Breed Specialty Frogs and Use Them for Decoration

Find and Transport Frogs

Locate frogs in their native biomes—standard frogs spawn in swamps. To breed specialty frogs, you need to transport regular frogs to either a Grove biome or a Lush Cave. Use a bucket or lead them to your chosen location.

Breed for New Variants

Once frogs are in the correct biome, breed them using slimeballs or by creating the right conditions. Grove biomes will produce Grove Frogs, while Lush Caves produce Lush Frogs. These variants have unique appearances and can serve as living decorations for your builds.

Display Your Frogs

Create small pools or water features near your cottage using dyed water to give your frogs a home that matches your aesthetic. The colored froglights they produce when eating fireflies will glow in matching hues, providing both decoration and ambient lighting for your build.
