Building a Coral Reef Display with CoralReef Mod Blocks

Planning the Layout

CoralReef Mod gives you eight blocks to build with: Brown Coral, Cyan Coral, Lime Coral, Magenta Coral, Orange Coral, Pink Coral, Hard Coral Reef, and Soft Coral Reef. A display works best when you separate the colored corals from the two reef blocks so each group reads clearly.

Stacking the Colors

Place the six colored corals — Brown Coral, Cyan Coral, Lime Coral, Magenta Coral, Orange Coral, and Pink Coral — in a row or a gradient. Because they are full blocks, you can stack them vertically or lay them flat without any supporting block. A simple approach is one column per color, alternating heights so the display does not look like a flat wall.

Using the Reef Blocks

Hard Coral Reef and Soft Coral Reef are the structural pieces. Use Hard Coral Reef as the base or floor of the display, since it reads as the solid foundation. Place Soft Coral Reef above or around the colored corals to break up the straight lines.

If you want a compact build, put Hard Coral Reef at the bottom, stack the six colored corals in the middle, and cap with Soft Coral Reef. All eight blocks place directly, so you can rearrange the layout as many times as you like without crafting anything new.
