Turning a Diamond Disk into Diamond Shards

Feed the Recycler

Put a Diamond Disk into the Recycler. The block processes it and produces Diamond Shard. Each Diamond Disk is consumed in the process, so the trade is one disk for its shard output.

Use the Shards

Diamond Shard is a crafting ingredient. Collect shards from multiple Diamond Disks before you spend them, since most recipes that use shards need more than one. Store shards in a dedicated chest next to the Recycler so the loop stays tight: disks in, shards out, shards back into crafting.

Keep the Loop Running

If you run out of Diamond Disks, craft more before recycling further. Do not recycle your last disk unless you already have the shards you need, because the disk is gone once processed. A simple routine: craft a batch of Diamond Disks, recycle half into Diamond Shard, keep the other half for direct use. This keeps both the disk supply and the shard supply stocked.

Where Shards Go

Diamond Shard is used in crafting recipes alongside the other mod items. Check the crafting grid for recipes that list Diamond Shard as an ingredient. Because shards come only from recycling Diamond Disks, the Recycler is the single source for them.
