Turning Wood Logs and Planks into Pillars
Supported Wood Types
You can convert logs and planks for Acacia, Birch, Cherry, Dark Oak, Jungle, Mangrove, Oak, Crimson, and Bamboo. Crimson also has Stem and Hyphae variants. Bamboo has Block, Planks, and Mosaic variants.
Logs
Take any supported log — Pillar Oak Log, Pillar Birch Log, Pillar Acacia Log, Pillar Cherry Log, Pillar Dark Oak Log, Pillar Jungle Log, or Pillar Mangrove Log — and run the matching vanilla log through a stonecutter. For Crimson, the Crimson Stem and Crimson Hyphae each convert separately into Pillar Crimson Stem and Pillar Crimson Hyphae.
Planks
Planks convert the same way. Feed Oak Planks, Birch Planks, Acacia Planks, Cherry Planks, Dark Oak Planks, Jungle Planks, Mangrove Planks, Crimson Planks, or Bamboo Planks into the stonecutter and select the matching Pillar output. Bamboo is special: Bamboo Block, Bamboo Planks, and Bamboo Mosaic each have their own Pillar version.
Building Tips
Log Pillars keep the bark texture on all four sides, which makes them useful for corner posts and structural beams. Plank Pillars work well for interior columns and fence-line supports. Mix a log Pillar with a matching plank Pillar in the same build to suggest a framed timber structure. Because each conversion is one-to-one, plan your material counts before you start cutting so you do not run short mid-build.
