How to Craft Clear Glass and Clear Glass Panes

Crafting Clear Glass

Clear Glass is the base block for the whole family. Use a crafting table and combine vanilla Glass with the dye or ingredient your recipe calls for to produce the Clear variant. The shaped recipe output is Clear Glass, and the same shaped pattern with the pane ingredient yields Clear Glass Pane.

Once you have Clear Glass, place it like normal glass. It is fully transparent with no border texture, so adjacent Clear Glass blocks read as one continuous surface. Break it with any tool or by hand; it drops itself.

Making Panes

Clear Glass Pane is crafted from Clear Glass using the standard pane shaped recipe. Panes connect visually to neighboring panes and to full blocks, which makes them useful for windows, railings, and greenhouse walls where you want light without a full block footprint.

Stained Variants

Every color has both a block and a pane: Clear White Stained Glass, Clear White Stained Glass Pane, Clear Orange Stained Glass, Clear Orange Stained Glass Pane, and so on through all sixteen dye colors. Craft them the same way you craft the unstained versions, substituting the matching dye. Keep a stack of each color you plan to build with, since swapping colors mid-build means re-crafting rather than re-dyeing placed blocks.
