Optimize Load Times by Removing Unused Mod Textures
Why Remove Unused Textures
The resource pack includes textures for over 180 mods. If your modpack only uses a fraction of these, keeping all folders loaded wastes memory and increases startup time. Removing folders for mods you don't have installed speeds up your game significantly.
How to Clean Up the Pack
1. Open the resource pack folder on your computer (usually found in .minecraft/resourcepacks/).
2. Locate the Comprogrammer pack folder and open it.
3. Look for subfolders organized by mod name (for example, folders for farming mods, weapon mods, biome mods, etc.).
4. Cross-reference each folder against the mods actually installed in your modpack.
5. Delete any folders corresponding to mods you don't use.
6. Save your changes and restart Minecraft.
Tips
Keep a backup copy of the original pack before deleting folders, in case you add new mods later. If you're unsure whether a mod is installed, check your mods folder first. Start by removing the largest category folders (like unused biome or mob packs) for the most noticeable performance improvement.
