Planning a Compression Storage System

Pick your lines

The mod provides nine-tier lines for Compressed Cobblestone, Compressed Deepslate, Compressed Cobbled Deepslate, Compressed Clay, Compressed Copper, Compressed Diamond, Compressed Block of Coal, Compressed Block of Redstone, Compressed Block of Lapis, Compressed Block of Quartz, and Compressed Block of Endstone, plus Compressed Dirt starting at 1x. Decide which materials you gather in bulk and dedicate a line to each.

Lay out the chests

Give each material its own column of chests, one chest per tier from 1x up to 9x. Label them. When raw material arrives, compress it upward one tier at a time until it reaches the highest tier you have room for. When a build needs material, uncompress downward.

Automate the rhythm

1. Dump raw stacks into the 1x crafting step.

2. Move 1x blocks into the 2x step, and so on.

3. Keep the top tier as your long-term reserve.

4. Pull from the top tier and uncompress only as far as needed.

Keep tiers consistent

Because each step is nine-to-one, a single 9x block equals a very large amount of raw material. Do not mix tiers in one chest — it becomes impossible to tell at a glance how much you actually have. One tier per chest keeps the system readable and makes both compression and decompression predictable.
