Compressing Redstone Components and Amethyst Shards

Activator Rail Chain

Activator Rail I through Activator Rail V are registered as both items and blocks. If you build rail systems, you craft Activator Rails in bulk. Compress surplus rails upward: base Activator Rail to Activator Rail I, then II, III, IV, and V. Because each tier is a block, you can also place a Tier V Activator Rail directly in the world as a compact storage block, then break it to retrieve the tier.

Amethyst Shard Chain

Amethyst Shard I through Amethyst Shard V follow the same five-tier pattern. Amethyst Shards accumulate from mining and are used in crafting, so compressing them keeps your inventory clear. Take base Amethyst Shard and craft it into Tier I, then feed Tier I back in for Tier II, and continue to Tier V.

Working the Chains

Both lines use the mod's registered crafting_shaped and crafting_shapeless recipes. If a fixed grid does not produce the next tier, try the shapeless form with the correct count of the previous tier in the grid. To use the materials, decompress from Tier V down one tier at a time until you reach the base item, then craft or place it as normal. Store Tier I–II separately from Tier III–V so you always pull from the correct end of the chain.
