Crafting the Item Drum

The Item Drum is a storage block crafted from planks in a shaped recipe at a crafting table. Choose the wood type you want: Oak Item Drum, Spruce Item Drum, Birch Item Drum, Jungle Item Drum, Acacia Item Drum, Dark Oak Item Drum, Mangrove Item Drum, Cherry Item Drum, Pale Oak Item Drum, Bamboo Item Drum, Crimson Item Drum, or Crimson Item Drum variants. Place the finished drum down and right-click to open it.

Moving Items In and Out

Use the drum like any container: drag stacks from your inventory into its slots, or shift-click to move a whole stack at once. Shift-click items in the drum to send them back to your inventory. Breaking the drum returns it and its contents, so you can pick it up and move it whenever you reorganize.

Choosing Between Drums, Barrels, and Chests

Item Drums, Barrels, and Chests all store items and all come in every wood type. Use Item Drums when you want a compact-looking storage block, Barrels when you want a rounded container shape, and Chests when you want the classic look. Colored Item Drums such as Black Item Drum, Blue Item Drum, and Red Item Drum let you color-code a storage wall. Mix wood and color variants freely — the mod provides matching Chest, Barrel, and Item Drum for each wood and each dye color.
