How to Shrink Yourself and Enter a Compact Machine

Craft the Personal Shrinking Device

You need a Personal Shrinking Device to change your own size. Craft it using the mod's crafting_shaped recipe. Once crafted, keep it in your hotbar.

Shrink and Enter

1. Hold the Personal Shrinking Device and use it to shrink yourself.

2. While shrunk, walk into a Compact Machine Wall. The wall acts as the boundary of a compact machine room.

3. Inside, you are in a small enclosed space built from Compact Machine Wall blocks. This is your compact machine interior.

Return to Normal Size

Use the Personal Shrinking Device again to grow back to normal size. If you are inside a compact machine, you must be shrunk to pass back through the Compact Machine Wall to the outside world.

Notes on Walls

Compact Machine Wall forms the standard boundary. Solid Compact Machine Wall is a solid variant used where you do not want a passable boundary. Both are placeable blocks. Use Compact Machine Wall where you want to enter and exit, and Solid Compact Machine Wall where you want a sealed surface.

Keep the Personal Shrinking Device on you at all times. Without it you cannot shrink, and without shrinking you cannot pass through Compact Machine Wall boundaries.
