How to Craft and Use a Hammock in Comforts

Crafting the Hammock

A hammock needs two things: a Rope and Nail and a Hammock Cloth in the colour you want.

1. Craft Rope and Nail using the shapeless recipe.

2. Craft your chosen Hammock Cloth (for example White Hammock Cloth or Red Hammock Cloth) using its shapeless recipe.

3. Combine the Rope and Nail with the Hammock Cloth in a shapeless recipe to produce the matching hammock block — for example White Hammock Cloth plus Rope and Nail gives you the hammock for that colour.

Every colour follows the same pattern, so pick whichever of the 16 colours you have materials for.

Placing and Using It

Place the hammock block against a wall or between two anchor points. Once placed, interact with it to lie down. The hammock lets you rest without setting a new spawn point, which makes it useful for exploring far from your bed. Because it is a block, you can pick it back up and reposition it whenever you move camp. If you want a portable version for travel, craft a Sleeping Bag in the same colour instead — it uses the same cloth and is placed on the ground rather than hung.
