Choosing Between a Hammock and a Sleeping Bag in Comforts

What Each One Does

Both the Hammock Cloth blocks and the Sleeping Bag blocks let you sleep without resetting your spawn. The difference is placement: a hammock hangs and needs an anchor, while a sleeping bag lies flat on the ground.

When to Use Which

• Use a Sleeping Bag when you are underground, in a cave, or anywhere with no wall to hang from. Place it on any flat floor and sleep.
• Use a Hammock Cloth hammock when you have a wall or support to attach it to, such as inside a built shelter or between two posts.

Both come in all 16 colours, so match them to your build. A Gray Sleeping Bag and a Gray Hammock Cloth hammock use the same colour family and look consistent side by side.

Shared Crafting Logic

Every colour follows the same two-step pattern. First craft the cloth block for your colour, then combine it with Rope and Nail for a hammock, or craft the sleeping bag directly from its shapeless recipe. Keep a Rope and Nail in your inventory if you plan to relocate a hammock often, since you will need it each time you craft a new one.
