Dustsprout appears as both Dustsprout and Dustsprout Plant. Find it growing in the world and harvest it. Keep the plant form if you want to replant it, and keep the harvested Dustsprout for cooking. Store extras in a Blended Barrel if you are stockpiling ingredients.

Bake Rhizome Slices

Growing Rooted Rhizome is the source for Baked Rhizome Slice. Harvest the rhizome, then cook it. Smelting, smoking, and campfire cooking are all available recipe types in this mod, so you can use a furnace, a smoker, or a campfire depending on what you have built. Smoking is the fastest option if you have a smoker set up.

Make Dustsprout Pie

Once you have Dustsprout and Baked Rhizome Slice, combine them into a Dustsprout Pie at a crafting table. The pie is the finished food item — carry it with you into the Nether instead of raw ingredients. If you are feeding a base, bake several rhizome slices at once and craft multiple pies in a single session so you are not running back and forth.
