Switch Between Color Blindness Modes
Accessing the Shader Menu
Colorblindness Shaders integrates with your shader settings menu. Open the shader options screen through your graphics settings—this is typically accessed via the pause menu under Video Settings, then Shaders.
Changing Vision Modes
Once in the shader configuration screen, you'll find options to toggle between the four simulated vision types:
- Protanopia for red-blindness simulation
- Deuteranopia for green-blindness simulation
- Tritanopia for blue-blindness simulation
- Achromatopsia for complete grayscale (total color blindness)
Select your desired mode and the filter applies instantly to your world without requiring a restart. You can switch between modes at any time while playing, making it easy to compare how different vision conditions perceive the same environment.
Testing Your Choice
After selecting a mode, take a moment to explore your surroundings. Pay attention to how ores, plants, and dyed blocks appear differently. This helps you understand visibility and contrast under each condition.
