Compare How Different Blocks Appear Across Vision Modes

Setting Up a Comparison Area

Create a small test area with blocks you want to evaluate. Gather samples of ores, dyed blocks, plants, and any other colored materials relevant to your project. Arrange them in a line or grid for easy viewing.

Systematic Testing

With your test blocks in place, switch to each vision mode one at a time:

1. Start with normal vision as your baseline

2. Switch to Protanopia and observe color shifts

3. Move to Deuteranopia and note differences

4. Test Tritanopia for blue/yellow changes

5. Finally, view in Achromatopsia (grayscale) to see pure brightness contrast

What to Look For

Notice which blocks remain visually distinct and which become harder to differentiate. Some blocks might be nearly identical under one filter but clearly different under another. Pay attention to brightness and saturation changes—these affect readability more than hue shifts alone.

Recording Results

Take screenshots in each mode or keep mental notes about which color combinations work best for accessibility. This information is invaluable when planning color schemes for farms, storage systems, or decorative builds.
