How Shiny Rarities Work

When a shiny Pokémon spawns in your world, the mod automatically assigns it one of three rarity tiers. Each tier has a different spawn probability and comes with its own unique color palette.

The Three Tiers

Regular Shiny appears in 60% of shiny spawns and uses the classic, standard shiny colors you'd recognize from the base games.

Rare Shiny occurs in 30% of shiny spawns and features a distinctive secondary color palette that swaps out the regular shiny's hues for something more striking.

Epic Shiny is the rarest at only 10% spawn chance and applies the most visually stunning custom textures, often inspired by PokeRogue color schemes.

Finding Them

There's no way to force a specific tier—it's determined randomly each time a shiny appears. However, the mod includes custom advancements that track your discoveries, rewarding you as you collect rare and epic variants. The more you explore different biomes and hunt creatures, the better your chances of encountering these premium color variants.
