Maximizing Ground Mount Speed for Overland Travel

Select High-Speed Land Companions

Ground mounts like Arcanine, Tauros, and Espathra receive significant speed boosts in this mod. Arcanine combines raw speed with reliability, while Tauros excels in open plains. Cyclizar offers a balanced approach with good acceleration. For mountainous terrain, Rhyperior and Ursaluna handle slopes better despite slightly lower flat-ground speed.

Use Jump Height Effectively

Many boosted land mounts gain improved jump stats. This means you can clear obstacles faster and navigate terrain more efficiently. Sneasler's jump boost makes it excellent for climbing cliffs and reaching elevated areas quickly. Venusaur and Serperior work well in overgrown biomes where their speed helps you bypass dense vegetation.

Optimize Your Route

Choose mounts suited to your destination biome. Desert travel? Use Camerupt or Darmanitan. Snowy regions? Mamoswine excels there. By matching your mount to the terrain, you combine the mod's speed boosts with natural environmental advantages, cutting travel time significantly.
