Crossing Oceans and Rivers Efficiently

Pick the Right Water Mount

Wailord and Wailmer are the fastest water mounts for open ocean crossings, with substantial speed increases from the mod. Lapras offers a balanced option if you need to carry items or passengers. Blastoise provides good acceleration for shorter water journeys. Dondozo works well in rivers and narrow waterways where maneuverability matters.

Use Sharpedo for Special Situations

Sharpedo receives a jump stat boost that lets it leap out of water onto land. This makes it ideal if you're traveling between water bodies and need quick transitions to shore. Use Sharpedo when your route involves multiple water crossings with brief land segments.

Plan Water Routes

Identify ocean channels and river systems that align with your destination. Water mounts move fastest in deep water, so avoid shallow areas when possible. The mod's speed boosts make water travel competitive with flying, especially if you're carrying cargo that flying mounts can't manage easily.
