Upgrading Cobble Gens from Tier1 to Tier5

The Upgrade Chain

CobbleForDays has exactly five generator blocks: Cobble Gen Tier1, Cobble Gen Tier2, Cobble Gen Tier3, Cobble Gen Tier4, and Cobble Gen Tier5. They form a single linear chain. You cannot skip tiers.

Each upgrade is a crafting_shaped recipe performed at a crafting table. The previous tier is one of the ingredients, so you are effectively converting your existing generator into the next one rather than building a second generator from scratch.

Step-by-Step Progression

1. Craft Cobble Gen Tier1 from raw materials.

2. Gather the additional ingredients required by the Cobble Gen Tier2 recipe, then craft Tier2 with your Tier1 in the grid.

3. Repeat the same process for Cobble Gen Tier3, using your Tier2 as an ingredient.

4. Repeat for Cobble Gen Tier4.

5. Repeat for Cobble Gen Tier5, the final tier.

Because the previous tier is consumed, you will always have exactly one generator of your current highest tier if you upgrade immediately. If you want multiple high-tier generators, craft multiple Tier1s first and upgrade them in parallel.

Planning Your Materials

Work out the full ingredient list for Tier5 before you start. Every ingredient used in Tier2, Tier3, and Tier4 is effectively also an ingredient of Tier5, because each tier is nested inside the next. Stockpiling those materials up front avoids stopping mid-chain.
