Understanding Town Architecture and Building Types
Building Categories
Each Pokemon town contains several building types: PokeMarts (shops), PokeCenters (healing stations), residential houses, and sometimes landmark buildings unique to that town. These structures follow the architectural style of their source region.
Regional Styles
Kanto towns like Pallet Town feature simple wooden buildings with basic roofing. Johto's Cherrygrove City incorporates cherry blossom aesthetics with pink roofs and floral decorations. Hoenn's Pacifidlog Town uses water-themed construction with dock areas. Sinnoh towns blend mountain and forest elements, while Unova's Lentimas Town has its own distinct style.
Exploring Towns
Walk through each town to appreciate the themed design. Buildings are positioned to create recognizable town layouts, though not exact replicas. Look for signature features: the tall tower in certain towns, garden areas, and waterfront sections.
Each building serves a purpose—PokeMarts and PokeCenters are functional gathering points, while houses add atmosphere and contain loot. The architecture itself tells the story of each region's culture and environment.
