Adjust Shadow Intensity and Contrast
Access Shader Settings
Open the Iris shader configuration menu while in-game by pressing the key bound to shader options (default varies by launcher). Look for the Cloud S Shaders profile in your active shader list.
Modify Shadow Parameters
Locate the shadow contrast or intensity slider within the shader settings panel. Cloud S Shaders provides controls to adjust how pronounced shadows appear in outdoor environments. Increasing contrast makes shadows darker and more defined, useful for dramatic lighting. Decreasing it softens shadows for a gentler appearance.
Fine-Tune Sunlight Brightness
Find the sunlight or brightness adjustment option. This controls how bright direct sunlight appears during daytime. Lowering this value reduces glare and makes exploration more comfortable during midday, while raising it increases visibility in shaded areas.
Apply and Test Changes
Save your settings and return to your world. Observe how sunlit and shadowed areas look from different angles and times of day. Shader changes apply immediately, so you can adjust values in real-time without restarting. Test your preferred settings across multiple biomes to ensure consistency.
