How to Make Netherite Cloud Boots with Smithing

Set Up the Smithing Table

Netherite Cloud Boots are the top tier of the Cloud Boots Mod and are produced with a smithing_transform recipe, not a crafting table recipe. Place a smithing table and open its interface. You need three input slots: the template slot, the base item slot, and the addition slot.

Apply the Transform

Put your Diamond Cloud Boots in the base slot. Place a netherite ingot in the addition slot. Put the required smithing template in the template slot. The output slot will display Netherite Cloud Boots. Take them out to complete the upgrade. The smithing_transform consumes the Diamond Cloud Boots, the netherite ingot, and the template, so make sure you are ready to give up the Diamond pair before confirming.

After the Upgrade

Equip the Netherite Cloud Boots in your boots slot. There is no tier above Netherite Cloud Boots in this mod, so this is the final step of the progression: Iron, Gold, Diamond, then Netherite. If you want a second pair, you will need to craft another set of Diamond Cloud Boots and gather another netherite ingot and template before returning to the smithing table.
