How to Craft Iron Cloud Boots

Gather the Materials

Iron Cloud Boots are the entry point of the Cloud Boots Mod progression. You need iron ingots and a Golden Feather. The Golden Feather is a registry item in this mod, so check your recipe book or the mod's crafting entries to see how it is produced before you start.

Craft the Boots

Open a crafting table and use a shaped recipe. The Iron Cloud Boots occupy the boots slot of the grid, with iron ingots filling the surrounding slots and the Golden Feather placed in the center. The exact arrangement follows the standard boots pattern: two ingredient columns on the left and right, with the Golden Feather in the middle of the top row. Once crafted, equip the Iron Cloud Boots in your boots armor slot.

What Comes Next

Iron Cloud Boots are the base tier. From here you can upgrade to Gold Cloud Boots, Diamond Cloud Boots, or Netherite Cloud Boots. Gold and Diamond versions are made through crafting_shaped recipes, while the Netherite version uses a smithing_transform recipe at a smithing table. Keep your Iron Cloud Boots if you plan to upgrade them directly, since smithing_transform consumes the base item along with the upgrade material.
