How to Stay Alert While Managing Items

1. Open any storage container, crafting table, or your main inventory

2. Notice the semi-transparent background—you can now see mobs, terrain, and other players through the menu

3. Keep your sound on or game volume up to hear approaching threats

4. Organize items at your own pace without closing the menu to check for danger

5. If you spot a mob, close the menu immediately (press E or your inventory key) and respond

Use this feature when:

• Sorting loot in the Nether or End
• Organizing a chest in an exposed location
• Trading with villagers in an unlit area
