Set up a custom teleport distance for your server

Access the configuration menu

Run /function clean_rtp:__config as an operator in chat. This opens the settings interface where you can modify teleport behavior for all players on your server.

Change the teleport distance

From the config menu, select the distance option. The data pack offers preset distances ranging from shorter hops to massive world-spanning jumps. Choose a preset that matches your server's map size and playstyle.

If you want players to explore closer to spawn, select a smaller distance. For servers with large pre-generated worlds, choose a larger preset to encourage discovery across more terrain.

Apply your changes

Confirm your selection through the menu. The new distance takes effect immediately—all subsequent /trigger rtp commands will use your chosen range. You can adjust this setting anytime without restarting the server.

Verify the setting

Test the teleport yourself using /trigger rtp to confirm players are landing at your desired distance from their starting point.
