Disable the Shader for Specific Activities
Temporarily Toggle Shaders Off
Access your Video Settings > Shaders menu and select None or Off to disable Cinematic Static Glow without uninstalling it. This is useful when you need clear visibility for building, mining, or precise tasks where visual effects might be distracting.
Re-enable When Needed
Return to the same menu and select the Cinematic Static Glow shader pack to reactivate it. Your previous intensity settings are preserved, so you won't need to reconfigure everything.
Use Cases
Disable shaders when:
- Building or decorating: The static and glitch effects can obscure block details and color accuracy
- Mining or resource gathering: Clear visibility helps locate ores and navigate caves safely
- Playing with friends: Some players may find intense effects uncomfortable or distracting
- Taking screenshots: Capture clean images without visual noise, then re-enable for atmospheric shots
Keep shaders enabled for exploration, horror map playthroughs, and cinematic moments where atmosphere matters more than precision.
