Adjust Static and Glitch Intensity for Your World

Access Shader Settings

Open your shader options menu while in-game. This is typically found in Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options or by pressing a designated hotkey (check your control settings). The Cinematic Static Glow shader pack provides dedicated sliders for visual customization.

Customize Visual Effects

You'll find separate controls for:

  • Static Strength: Controls how much visual noise and VHS artifacts appear on screen. Lower values create subtle retro effects; higher values produce intense, chaotic distortion.
  • Glitch Intensity: Adjusts screen tears, color shifts, and digital corruption effects. Increase this for a more unsettling horror atmosphere.
  • Scanline Opacity: Fine-tune the visibility of retro horizontal lines that mimic old CRT monitors and VHS tapes.

Apply Changes

Adjustments take effect immediately in most cases. Test your settings by looking around your world—try different environments like dark caves or outdoor areas to see how effects interact with lighting. If the effect feels overwhelming during regular gameplay, reduce static and glitch values. For horror maps or spooky builds, maximize intensity for maximum atmosphere.
