How to Use the Builders Guide

Placing and Activating the Builders Guide

Craft a Builders Guide and place it in the world. Right-click it to open its interface. The Builders Guide is a planning tool that helps you visualize and place blocks in specific patterns. It allows you to select a block from your inventory and preview its placement.

Selecting Blocks and Patterns

In the Builders Guide interface, choose a block from the list of available blocks. The guide supports blocks such as Antiblock, Concrete, Factory Block, Futura Block, Grimstone, Hex Plating, Holystone, Laboratory Block, Lavastone, Military, Mossy Blackstone, Mossy Temple Block, Paperwall, Road Lines, Shingles, Technical Block, Temple Block, Tyrian, Valentine's Block, Voidstone, Warning Sign, and Waterstone. Select the block you want to use. The guide will show a preview of the block in the world.

Building with the Guide

Once you have selected a block, the Builders Guide highlights where the block will be placed. You can then place the block manually or use the guide to assist in building. The Builders Guide is especially useful for creating large walls or floors with consistent patterns. It helps you maintain alignment and spacing.

Tips

Use the Builders Guide in combination with the Chisel to create detailed builds. Chisel blocks into variants first, then use the Builders Guide to place them accurately. The Ender Offset Wand can be used to move blocks or adjust positions. The Builders Guide does not consume blocks; it only helps you place them.
