Making Wood Variants: Planks, Panels, Mosaics, and Shavings

Wood Family Overview

Each wood type has multiple Chipped variants. For Acacia these include Acacia Planks Mosaic, Acacia Planks Panel, and Acacia Planks Shavings. The same family exists for Oak, Spruce, Birch, Jungle, Dark Oak, Mangrove, Crimson, and Warped.

Conversion Steps

1. Craft or gather the base planks for your wood type.

2. Place an Alchemy Bench and keep an Alchemy Book available.

3. Use the base planks on the bench to cycle through Mosaic, Panel, and Shavings variants.

4. Collect each variant you want in separate stacks.

Using Wood Variants in Builds

Acacia Planks Panel gives a smooth, wide-board look for floors and ceilings. Acacia Planks Mosaic breaks a wall into small squares, useful for accent panels. Acacia Planks Shavings add a rough, textured surface for rustic builds. Pair these with Acacia Barrel and Acacia Crate for storage-themed rooms, and Acacia Torch for lighting that matches the wood tone. Because every wood type has the same variant set, you can apply one design across an entire build and only swap the wood species.
