Lantern Types

Four light blocks exist: Red Lantern, White Lantern, Palace Lantern, and Stone Tower Lamp. Red Lantern and White Lantern are the small hanging type — place them under a Dougong bracket or an eave. Palace Lantern is the large ceremonial type — hang it in a doorway or under a gate lintel. Stone Tower Lamp is the tall freestanding type — set it on Andesite Pavement or Rammed Earth at a path junction.

Placement Tips

1. Hang Red Lantern or White Lantern from the underside of a Black Tile Roof Slab or Yellow Tile Roof Slab so the eave shades them.

2. Mount Palace Lantern beneath Dougong or a Black Tile Roof Ridge.

3. Stand Stone Tower Lamp on Stone Threshold or Andesite Pavement at gateways.

4. Use Candle for interior tables and altars — place it on Table or Bench.

Pairing With Architecture

Red Lantern and Palace Lantern suit Red Pillar and Red Stained Wooden Planks walls. White Lantern and Stone Tower Lamp suit White Ash Wall, Rammed Earth, and Dark Green Pillar. Keep lantern spacing even along a corridor so the light line reads as intentional.
