How to Stop Organ Rejection

Why Rejection Happens

Organs placed in a cavity can be rejected if they are raw, rotten, or mismatched. Raw Organ Meat, Raw Human Organ Meat, Raw Alien Organ Meat, Raw Dragon Organ Meat, Raw Toxic Organ Meat, and Rotten Sausage are the risky inputs. Rejection is the body refusing an unsafe organ.

Making Organs Safe

Cook organs before inserting them. Every raw organ has a cooked counterpart: Cooked Organ Meat, Cooked Human Organ Meat, Cooked Alien Organ Meat, Cooked Dragon Organ Meat, and Cooked Toxic Organ Meat. Use a furnace, smoker, or campfire to convert raw to cooked. Smelting, smoking, and campfire cooking all work on these items.

Sausages follow the same rule. Raw Sausage, Raw Human Sausage, Raw Alien Sausage, Raw Dragon Sausage, Raw Toxic Sausage, Raw Mini Sausage, and the Raw Rich variants all have Cooked equivalents. Cook them before use.

Safe Insertion Order

1. Open the cavity with a Chest Opener or Cleaver.

2. Insert only Cooked organs and Cooked sausages.

3. Avoid Rotten Sausage entirely.

4. Use Saltwater Heart, Saltwater Lung, and Saltwater Muscle as stable components — they have no raw/cooked split and do not carry the rejection risk of raw meat.

If an organ is rejected, remove it, cook it, and reinsert the cooked version.
