Crafting Cleavers and the Chest Opener

Cleaver Tiers

Cleavers are the primary cavity tools. Tiers, from weakest to strongest: Wooden Cleaver, Stone Cleaver, Iron Cleaver, Gold Cleaver, Diamond Cleaver, Netherite Cleaver. Craft the highest tier your materials allow. The Netherite Cleaver is the only cleaver that uses the smithing recipe type — upgrade a Diamond Cleaver to Netherite Cleaver at a smithing table.

Chest Opener

The Chest Opener is the dedicated opening tool. Craft it before you attempt any cavity work. It opens cavities on yourself and on other players without needing a full cleaver tier.

Sausage and Skin Items

Sausage Skin and Mini Sausage Skin are crafting components for sausages. Combine them with raw meat and organ inputs to produce Raw Sausage, Raw Mini Sausage, and the Raw Rich variants. The mod uses crafting_shaped, crafting_shapeless, and crafting_salvage recipe types for these.

Salvage

crafting_salvage recipes let you break down existing items into components. Use salvage on unwanted meat, organs, or sausages to recover materials like Sausage Skin, Mini Sausage Skin, or Iron Scrap. Iron Scrap is the salvage output tied to iron-tier items.

Progression Order

1. Craft a Wooden Cleaver and a Chest Opener.

2. Salvage or cook raw drops into usable Cooked items.

3. Upgrade the cleaver as you gather Iron, Gold, Diamond, then Netherite.

4. Keep Sausage Skin stocked for sausage crafting.
