Adjust Water Clarity and Reflection Settings

Access Shader Settings

Open the shader configuration menu by pressing the designated shader settings key (usually accessed through your video settings). Look for the water or visual quality section where reflection and transparency options are grouped.

Modify Water Properties

Locate the water clarity slider or transparency setting. Increasing this value makes water more transparent, revealing the seafloor and underwater details more clearly. Decreasing it creates a more opaque, realistic water surface.

Find the reflection intensity or sky reflection option. Higher values make water act as a stronger mirror, reflecting clouds and sky more vividly. Lower values reduce reflections for a more muted appearance.

Fine-Tune for Your Preference

Adjust both settings incrementally and observe changes in-game—swim near the surface and look at different angles. Reflections appear strongest when viewing water at shallow angles. If your frame rate drops, reduce reflection quality or intensity slightly.

Save your configuration. These settings persist across sessions, so you only need to adjust them once unless you want to experiment with different water looks for different biomes or times of day.
