Switch Between Color Palettes and Presets

Accessing Preset Options

Chandler's Retro Shaders includes multiple color palette presets designed for different hardware tiers and aesthetic preferences. To change your active palette:

1. Open your shader settings menu (usually accessed via the Shader Options button in Video Settings)

2. Look for palette or preset selection options

3. Browse available presets—these typically include variations optimized for potato, low, and medium-end systems

Customizing Your Look

Each preset applies a distinct limited color palette that affects how blocks, mobs, and the environment render. Switching presets instantly repaints your world without requiring a restart.

If you're experiencing performance issues, try a lower-tier preset (potato before low, low before medium). Conversely, if your system handles it well, higher presets may offer richer color depth and visual detail.

Experiment with different presets in various biomes to find the combination that feels most nostalgic and visually appealing to you. The cartoon-stylized effect remains consistent across all presets—only the specific color palette changes.
