How to Get and Open a Chance Cube

Obtaining Chance Cubes

Chance Cubes are the core block of the mod. You can obtain them through the crafting_shaped recipes tied to the mod, or by breaking existing Chance Cubes found in the world. Once you have a Chance Cube in your inventory, place it on the ground like any normal block.

Opening a Chance Cube

Break the placed Chance Cube to trigger its reward or punishment. The outcome is random, so treat every cube as a gamble. If you want to control what you get, do not break it blindly — use a Reward Selector Pendant or a Single Use Reward Selector Pendant instead. These pendants let you pick the result before the cube resolves.

If you want to move a Chance Cube without triggering it, use a Silk Touch Chance Pendant. This lets you pick the cube back up intact so you can relocate it or store it.

Scaling Up

For larger payouts, work toward the Giant Chance Cube and the Compact Giant Chance Cube. These are bigger block forms of the same gamble and are worth building once you have a steady supply of regular Chance Cubes. Keep a Chance Cube Scanner on hand to inspect cubes before you commit to breaking them.
