Optimize Shader Performance on Lower-End Hardware
Reduce Visual Quality Settings
Open shader options and look for quality presets or individual toggles. Disable or lower settings like shadow resolution, reflection quality, and ambient occlusion if your frame rate drops below acceptable levels.
Disable Advanced Effects
Turn off volumetric lighting, bloom, or lens flare effects if present. These features, while beautiful, consume more GPU resources. Disabling them often provides the biggest performance boost.
Lower Render Distance Selectively
Reduce shadow render distance separately from your chunk render distance if the shader allows it. Shadows don't need to be calculated as far away as visible terrain.
Monitor Frame Rate
Use F3 debug screen to watch your FPS while adjusting settings. Make one change at a time so you know which setting impacts performance most.
Balance Beauty and Speed
CG E LITE is designed for smooth performance, but even optimized shaders benefit from tuning. Find the sweet spot where visuals still look good but your game runs smoothly for your hardware.
