Enhance Water and Reflection Appearance

Locate Water Settings

In the shader configuration menu, find the water or reflection section. This controls how water surfaces interact with light and reflections.

Adjust Water Clarity and Color

Increase water transparency to see deeper into oceans and rivers, or reduce it for murkier, more opaque water. Modify water color tinting if available—warmer tones for tropical waters, cooler tones for deep seas.

Enable Reflections

If reflection options exist, toggle them on to make water surfaces mirror the sky and surrounding terrain. This dramatically improves realism but uses more resources; adjust reflection quality if needed.

Control Wave and Surface Effects

Some shaders include subtle wave or ripple effects. Adjust their intensity to make water feel more dynamic without looking unrealistic.

Test in Different Biomes

Visit oceans, rivers, and lakes to see how your adjustments look across different water types. Shallow water should look different from deep water. Return to settings and refine until satisfied.
