How to Fire Items in the Kiln

What the Kiln Does

The Kiln is the processing block for this mod. It handles ceramics:kiln recipes, turning unfired clay items into fired ones. Smelting recipes also exist for some items, so you can use a furnace when a Kiln is not available.

Unfired Inputs

Unfired Channel, Unfired Cistern, and Unfired Faucet are the unfired forms. Fire them in the Kiln to get Clay Channel, Clay Cistern, and Clay Faucet. From there, further processing gives Terracotta and Porcelain variants.

Fuel and Batch

Load the Kiln with fuel and the unfired item. Fire several at once so you do not waste fuel on single items. Keep a stock of unfired pieces ready before you start a build.

Outputs to Expect

Kiln output includes fired Channels, Cisterns, and Faucets in Clay, Terracotta, and Porcelain forms. Porcelain variants include Black Porcelain, Blue Porcelain, Brown Porcelain, Cyan Porcelain, Gray Porcelain, Green Porcelain, Light Blue Porcelain, Light Gray Porcelain, Lime Porcelain, Magenta Porcelain, Orange Porcelain, Pink Porcelain, Purple Porcelain, Red Porcelain, and Rainbow Porcelain, plus their Cistern forms.

Workflow

Craft unfired → Kiln → fired Clay → Kiln → Terracotta or Porcelain. Plan fuel use around the full chain.
