Customize Color Palettes and Posterization
Understand Posterization
CelShade reduces the number of colors displayed to create that flat, comic-book appearance. This is called color posterization. The shader simplifies gradients into distinct color bands, making grass, stone, and sky appear more stylized.
Access Color Settings
Open the CelShade shader configuration menu. Look for options labeled "color palette," "posterization level," or "color depth." These control how many distinct colors appear in your world.
Adjust Posterization Strength
Increasing posterization creates bolder, flatter colors with fewer gradations—very comic-like. Decreasing it adds more color variation and smoothness, approaching vanilla appearance. Experiment to find the balance that feels right for your playstyle.
Apply Palette Presets
If your version includes preset palettes, try different options to see how they affect overall tone. Some presets emphasize warm tones, cool tones, or high contrast. Test in varied biomes to ensure colors remain readable and visually appealing across different environments.
