How to Use Campfire Cooking in Carrots Library

Carrots Library adds a campfire cooking recipe type, carrots:campfire_cooking. This lets you process certain items over a campfire instead of a furnace.

Setting Up

Place a campfire and light it. You do not need a crafting grid for this step.

What the Recipe Type Covers

The carrots:campfire_cooking type has two registered recipes. These are the only campfire conversions the mod defines, so do not expect every item to work here. If an item does not cook on the campfire, it is not part of this recipe type — check whether it belongs to the shaped crafting recipes instead.

Combining With Other Processing

Several mod items are liquids stored in buckets: Cow Milk Bucket, Oat Milk Bucket, Honey Bucket, Tonic Bucket, Potable Water Bucket, Dirty Water Bucket, Liquid Xp Bucket, Seed Oil Bucket, and Squid Ink Bucket. These are handled as bucket items, not campfire inputs. Keep your campfire station separate from your bucket storage so you do not mix up which items belong to which process.

Practical Tips

Because only two campfire recipes exist, build one campfire dedicated to them and leave it loaded. Do not tear it down between uses. If you are unsure whether an item cooks, test one unit before committing a full stack.
