Using the Entity Capability Proxy on Mobs and Players

What It Targets

The Entity Capability Proxy is the proxy block you use when the capability you want to reach belongs to an entity rather than a placed block. Craft it from its own shaped recipe, then place it where it can act on the entity you care about.

Steps

1. Craft the Entity Capability Proxy.

2. Place the block in the world near or against the entity target.

3. Interact with the placed proxy to reach the entity's capability.

Use this proxy instead of the plain Capability Proxy whenever your target is a mob, a player, or another entity. The plain Capability Proxy is for block targets; the Entity Capability Proxy is the entity-facing variant.

If your goal is specifically to move items, switch to the Item Capability Proxy, which is the item-focused variant. If the entity or block you need is far away and you cannot place a proxy directly against it, use the Ranged Capability Proxy instead.

All four proxy blocks are crafted separately, so you can keep one of each in your inventory and place whichever matches the target in front of you. There is no upgrade path between them; each is its own recipe and its own block.
